With both the teams down to 14-men for the remainder of the first half, Toulouse made most of it with back to back tries from Maxime Medard (31') and Dupont (36') with the first half ending 10-19 in favour of the visitors.

Machenaud kicked back to back penalties at the start of the second half to narrow down the gap to three points but a second infringement from Racing 92 saw Juan Imhoff yellow-carded in the 67th minute following which Ramos kicked a three pointer to make it 16-22.

The home side went one point closer to the visitors with Camille Chat going past Cheslin Kolbe in the 74th minute but a miss from Machenaud on the conversion proved costly as they were edged out by one point.
