Benetton Treviso 23 - 12 Zebre, Treviso

Tommaso Allan contributed with 18 points as Benetton Treviso managed to defeat Zebre by 23-12 in their Pro 12 encounter on Friday.

After there were no points scored in the first 18 minutes, Allan started the proceedings with a 19th minute penalty to take Benetton Treviso to a three-point lead.

However, number eight Dries van Schalkwyk responded with a try of his own and fly half Carlos Canna's conversion meant Zebre bounced back to claim a four-point lead.

Just at the stroke of half time, Allan scored his second penalty to reduce the gap down to one point heading into half time.

The Italy international was phenomenal in the second half when he scored a converted try in the 58th minute helping the home team reclaim the lead.

The gap widened to 14 points when wing Luca Sperandio rumbled past the post in the 75th minute with Allan adding the extras.

Replacement Kayle van Zyl tried to bring Zebre back into the game with a try in the 78th minute but could not prevent his team from succumbing to a 11-point defeat.

Despite the result, Benetton Treviso and Zebre are placed at 11th and 12th respectively in the table topped by Munster.
