Talking Rugby Union at BT Sport's Rugby Tonight Show

Wednesday nights in rugby seasons gone-bye used to signify a night off in between training, university rugby and schools rugby around the country; however, there is something new on the block for rugby fans this season – BT Sport’s Rugby Tonight Show.

BT Sport piloted the new rugby round-up show at the start of this season, combining all the latest rugby news, match analysis, and – something never before seen – demonstrations from the pros with a live audience.

The Talking Rugby Union team took to the roads and headed for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and BT Sport’s shiny new Broadcasting Centre, to take a long behind the scenes.

The evening’s hosts were BT Sport pundits Craig Doyle, former British Lion Martin Bayfield and World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio.

Enjoy our ‘behind the scenes’ package where Talking Rugby Union’s Austin Halewood chats to Lawrence Dallaglio about his thoughts on the looming Six Nations and England’s key players; show host Craig Doyle about his experiences whilst being part of the show and his own rugby prowess, and to Martin Bayfield about the ‘modern day’ second-row and whether internationals playing overseas should be eligible to represent their country.

Talking Rugby Union’s access to all areas of the show’s production and presenters was a tremendous success, with an incredible insight into the future of rugby broadcasting.

We hope you enjoy the video, and make sure you stay tuned to Talking Rugby Union for all the latest rugby news, analysis, interviews, pictures and videos.
