Former England chief Stuart Lancaster has signed a contract with Pro12 club Leinster for the rest of the season to be part of their coaching panel. Here is a timeline on what the 46-year-old was doing after his exit from England team following the 2015 World Cup.
TIME OUT
After relinquishing the England role, Lancaster had time to reflect on his four years in charge of England. In April he said he was ready to return to full-time coaching and was linked with club roles in England and France.
BRITISH CYCLING
In late May Lancaster was named on the panel looking into the culture within British Cycling's elite programmes following allegations of bullying, sexism and discrimination.
FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
The FA sought the advice of Lancaster and British Cycling coach Sir Dave Brailsford on England's poor European Championship campaign. They were invited to join a new advisory group to help deliver the FA's high-performance strategy.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Lancaster spent three days with the NFL franchise in early July, offering expertise on how to avoid concussion when tackling. He was invited to analyse a game against the Washington Redskins last season and then outline alternative skills and drills used for safe and effective defence.
NEW ZEALAND DOMESTIC RUGBY
In August Lancaster worked with rugby league club side New Zealand Warriors and provincial rugby union team Counties Manukau. He spoke of his desire to coach in Super Rugby at some point but for now has chosen to join Leinster's staff for this season.
