South Africa Under-20 flanker Zain Davids has been handed a two game ban following his red card incident against Georgia in the recently concluded U20 Championship encounter at Avchala Stadium on Sunday.

Davids was sent-off after he was found guilty of striking an opponent player in the 80th minute of the game which South Africa went on to win 38-14.

He appeared before a disciplinary panel on Monday where he was found to have breached Law 10.4 (a) that deals with striking a player and was sanctioned a two-game ban.

As a result, Davids will now miss the game against Argentina on 8th June at Avchala Stadium and the play-off game in the subsequent round but will be available for the final round that includes the final.

South Africa currently top Pool C with seven points from two games and are followed by Argentina with six points.
