South Africa international Wilco Louw will head to Toulon next season after signing a short-term deal with the Top 14 club.

Louw will be the second international player signed by the French club after England's Ben Te'o as they will serve as cover during the World Cup.

The 25-year-old made his professional rugby debut with Western Province in 2015 and in the same year made his Super Rugby debut with Stormers.

The 6ft prop made his South Africa debut during the 2017 edition of the Rugby Championship and has featured in 13 Tests with his last appearance coming during the clash against Argentina on 17th August in Pretoria.

Toulon kick-started their 2019/20 season of Top 14 with a 25-44 win over Agen at Stade Armandie last weekend and are positioned second in the table behind Lyon.
