South Africa director of rugby Rassie Erasmus has added centre Andre Esterhuizen and lock Marvin Orie to the squad ahead of the final round of the Rugby Championship clash against Argentina in Salta.

Esterhuizen has played seven Tests for the Springboks in the last two years while Orie has featured in two games at the international level.

Both the players have joined the squad in Auckland where they will train before heading to Salta to take on the Pumas on 10th August.

Meanwhile, scrum-half Faf de Klerk, who suffered a head injury during the second half of the game against All Blacks will undergo a return to play protocol as he aims to make a comeback with his replacement Herschel Jantjies scored the decisive try in Springboks' 16-16 draw against Steve Hansen's men last round.

South Africa hold the pole position in the Rugby Championship table with seven points from two games and are closely followed by New Zealand with six points.
