Scotland 43 - 16 Georgia, Murrafield
Scorecard

A dominant first half performance helped Scotland end their autumn internationals on a high with a resounding 43-16 win over Georgia at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Scrum-half Vasil Lobzhanidze evaded the defence of wing Tommy Seymour and Greig Laidlaw to score the opening try for Georgia in the fourth minute but centre Merab Kvirikashvili missed the conversion.

However, Scotland took the lead for the first time when Seymour crossed over in the seventh minute and Laidlaw added the extras. They looked all set for their second try when hooker Ross Ford was about to cross the line but was intervened by Konstantine Mikautadze.

Referee Matthew Carley spotted the illegal intervention and awarded a penalty try for Scotland and Mikautadze was sin-binned. Laidlaw's conversion took Scotland to 14 points.

After Laidlaw and Kvirikashvili exchanged penalties, Stuart Hogg collected an offload from Finn Russell to complete the fourth try in the game for Scotland and Laidlaw was flawless in adding the conversion as they went into half time with a 20-point lead.

The gap was extended to 27 points when the second half started with flanker Hamish Watson strolling across the post followed by Laidlaw adding the extras.

Lobzhanidze provided something to cheer for Georgia by scoring his second try in the game which came in the 53rd minute but Kvirikashvili missed the conversion on this occasion as well.

Even though replacement Moray Low was sin-binned for Scotland in the 73rd minute, Hogg capped off a fine game for the hosts with his second try, thereby ensuring a 27-point victory over Georgia.
