Kings ran a six-try riot as they trounced Rebels by 44-3 in their Super Rugby clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

Wing Wandie Mjekevu (18') scored the only try in the first half while fly-half Lionel Cronje added two penalties to take Kings to 11 points at half time. In response, Reece Hodge's penalty remained the only points for Rebels in the game as they trailed by eight points heading into half time.

Martin Bezuidenhout (42'), Tyler Paul (57'), Pieter-Steyn de Wet (62'), Makazole Mapimpi (69') and Masixole Banda (79') all went past the line in the second half. Cronje added a solitary conversion while de Wet added three more extras to complete a 41 point victory for Southern Kings.

Despite the win, Kings are languishing at the bottom of Africa 2 Conference while Rebels find themselves at fifth in Australian Conference.
