Patrick Lambie's staggering 23-point haul helped Sharks set up an astounding 53-0 drubbing against Kings in the Super Rugby clash at the Kings Park Stadium in Durban.

The fly-half scored two tries and kicked five conversions and a penalty with the boot.

Willie Le Roux (22'), Paul Jordaan (19', 25'), Andre Esterhuizen (33'), JP Pietersen (38'), Lambie (8', 49') and Thomas du Toit (77') scored a total of eight tries for the Durban side.

It was the Kings’ second largest defeat of the season.

The Sharks were remarkable in every aspect of the game, as the scoreline conveys, and winning so comprehensively after a series of tough matches will certainly bolster their morale for the remainder of tournament.

This result has helped Sharks climb up to the third place in the South African Group after garnering 30 points from 11 matches whereas Kings continue to linger at the bottom of the table after managing just one win from their 10 matches this season.
