Sam Underhill is set to seal a move from the Ospreys to Bath next season and will finally be available for England selection next summer.

The 20-year-old young openside flanker has been on England boss Eddie Jones' radar over the past 12 months but was ineligible for selection because of the RFU's selection policy.

The highly-rated Ospreys youngster is contracted at the Liberty Stadium until 2018 but will leave early with the Ospreys receiving a £150,000 transfer fee, according to a report in The Times.

Switching to The Rec will make him eligible to be selected by England.

Underhill captained England at U18s level but moved to the Welsh region from Gloucester in 2015.

Following a delayed start to this term due to a shoulder surgery, Underhill made 24 appearances for the Ospreys.

Now, however, Jones will be free to pick Underhill as competition to Haskell, as well as the likes of Jack Clifford, Teimana Harrison and Tom Wood to fill the openside berth at Test level.

Although Underhill will not be available for England’s Six Nations campaign, but should come into the reckoning for England's two-Test summer tour of Argentina.
