The ninth edition of the Rugby World Cup is set to get underway in Japan on 20th September across 12 different venues. Here are all the details you need to know about the showpiece event.

This years Rugby World Cup has been branded one of the most 'open' in recent years, with a number of the top sides gunning for a place in the history books, 2019 World Cup rugby betting has all you need know about the odds going into the tournament.

The Format:

The 20 teams competing in the tournament has been grouped across four Pools that contains five teams apiece. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.
