Centre Rory Scannell contributed with 10 points, including a 74th minute drop goal as Munster reached the top of the Pro 12 table after beating Ulster 14-15 in Belfast on Friday.

This is Munster's third successive win at Kingspan Stadium as they made a strong comeback from 14-5 down at half time to go on to complete a dramatic one-point win.

Fullback Charles Piutau's fourth minute try and a conversion from fly-half Paddy Jackson allowed Ulster to gain a 7-0 lead. The home team soon doubled their lead when replacement Robert Lyttle strolled across the post and Jackson completed the formalities with the conversion.

Scannell, gave Munster, a glimmer of hope with his try at the stroke of half time as the visitors completed the first half trailing by nine points.

The second half saw Ulster struggling to score a single point but centre Jaco Taute's try and a conversion from Scannell, helped Munster bring down the gap to two points.

With both teams struggling to outplay each other, a 74th minute drop goal from Scannell ensured Munster went past Ulster by one-point. This is fifth win of Munster in this season and they now top the table with 23 points and are very closely followed by Ulster at second.
