Reds 48-27 Sunwolves, Suncorp Stadium
Scorecard

Queensland Reds came up with a seven-try riot as they finished the season with back to back wins following a 48-27 triumph over Sunwolves at Suncorp Stadium on Friday.

With six wins from 16 games, Reds finish fourth in Australian Conference while Sunwolves end the season with a last-place finish.

Reds opened the account in the fifth minute when Liam Wright crossed over and Jono Lance kicked the conversion to take scoreline to 7-0. However, Hayden Parker kicked back to back conversions in quick succession to narrow down the gap to one points.

Eto Nabuli breached the defence of the visitors to score Reds' second try but they suffered a setback in the 28th minute when Duncan Paia'aua was sin-binned for a deliberate knock-on and to make things worse the Sunwolves were awarded a penalty try.

Sunwolves struggled to capitalise on the advantage when Ed Quirk was sent-off for a dangerous tackle on Hamish Stewart and on either side Reds managed tries with Lance and Taniela Tupou touching down as the first half ended with a 29-11 lead for the Australian side.

Caleb Timu was the second Reds player to be sin-binned as he smashed Parker into the floor in the 45th minute but Reds amassed three more tries - one each from Nabuli (51'), Paia'Aua (57') and Moses Sorovi (64') that took their lead to 48-11. Ryoto Nakamura and Jaba Bregvadze scored consolation tries for Sunwolves but they succumbed to a 48-27 defeat.
