Scorecard

Rhys Priestland kicked 17 points off the tee for Bath at the Recreation Ground to secure a painless 22-6 victory against Bristol during the 2016-17 European Rugby Challenge Cup pool stage clash on Thursday.

The hosts managed to run just one try throughout the game as inside-centre Matt Banahan crossed over the try line on the concluding minute of the game. Priestland's conversion sealed an easy win for Todd Blackadder's men as they climbed up to the top of the Pool 4 table.

Priestland also managed to score five valuable penalties on seventh, 17th, 35th, 41st and 65th minute respectively.

In response, the visitors were able to score only two penalties with fly-half Billy Searle and his replacement Shane Geraghty scoring one each.

Bath will now travel to the BT Cardiff Arms Park to face the Blues, while Bristol will host Pau at the Ashton Gate Stadium next weekend.
