Despite not being able to score a try, the Queensland Reds have managed to pull off an 18-10 upset against the Brumbies at the Suncorp Stadium on Friday during the Super Rugby clash.

Even though the Reds dominated possession and territory, they only had six penalties to showcase at the end of the game.

Scrum-half James Tuttle and fly-half Jono Lance scored three penalties each.

Caleb Timu was sin-binned on the 34th minute for a shoulder tackle on Brumbies fullback Tom Banks' midriff.

Joe Powell (29) and Isi Naisarani (74) scored the two Brumbies tries although both tries remained unconverted as they succumbed to an eight points defeat and handing Brad Thorn his first Super Rugby win as coach.

The Reds won this game playing the final 14 minutes with six players in the side who were 21 or younger.
