Stade Francais claimed their first win in the ongoing European Rugby Challenge Cup as they went on to beat Ospreys 12-3 at Stade Jean Bouin on Friday.

Despite the win, the French side are at the bottom of Pool 2 with Ospreys holding the top position with 11 points.

Nicolas Sanchez kicked two penalty goals in the first half that remained the only points in the game in the first half as the home side claimed a six point lead.

Sanchez further extended Stade Francais' lead to 12 points with two more three-pointers after the break. James Hook with a 53rd minute penalty ensured Ospreys did not leave the stadium empty-handed but they could not find any more breakthroughs in their nine point defeat.

Stade Francais will face Pau in Round 5 on 11th January next while Ospreys will host Worcester Warriors at Liberty Stadium on 12th January.
