New Zealand 92-7 Tonga, FMG Stadium Waikato
Scorecard

New Zealand ran a 14 try riot as they trounced Tonga 92-7 in their clash at FMG Stadium Waikato on Saturday.

Sevu Reece started the proceedings with a ninth minute try following which Ben Smith and Codie Taylor also crossed over in the opening quarter and Beauden Barrett kicked all three conversions as Steve Hansen's men raced to a 21 point lead.

There was no respite for the All Blacks as George Bridge (26'), Kieran Read (32'), TJ Perenara (35'), Smith (38') and Ryan Crotty (39') all touched down with Beauden improving on four occasions as the first half was total dominance from the hosts seeing them secure a 54-0 lead.

Bridge was the hero for New Zealand in the second half with three tries in the 41st, 52nd and 57th minutes and Matt Todd (46') and Ardie Savea (47') crossing whitewash taking their tally to 85 points.

Tonga's problems compounded further when Sam Lousi was sin-binned in the 61st minute for an illegal tackle on Ioane and Crotty immediately capitalised on the numerical advantage with his second in the 65t minute. This time Ioane kicked his fourth conversion to take New Zealand's scoreline 92-0.

As the full time was approaching, Siale Piutau scored a consolation try for Tonga but New Zealand made a statement of intent as they completed a 92-7 win.
