Winger Marcus Watson has pledged his immediate future to Wasps after signing a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership.

A product of the London Irish Academy, the 27-year-old made his professional rugby debut for the Exiles in 2009 and had stints with Saracens and Newcastle Falcons before moving to Wasps in 2017 and has made 27 appearances for the Ricoh Arena outfit since then scoring 11 tries.

Watson has featured in 45 Premiership games for London Irish, Newcastle Falcons and Wasps combined crossing over 16 times and enjoyed Premiership Sevens title win with Saracens.

“This is a fantastic Club and I’ve certainly settled into life in the surrounding area," he told the official website of the club.

“For me now it’s all about trying to stay injury-free and get plenty of game time under my belt to show what I can do and help the Club rise up the table.”

Watson also represented Great Britain during the 2016 Rio Olympics that went on to win the silver medal.

“Marcus has tremendous pace and that ability to beat the man, as he’s shown many a time," said Wasps director of rugby Dai Young.

“It’s certainly been a bit frustrating for him with injuries halting his chance to play some more regular rugby, but hopefully he can really push on now and string together a good run of games.”
