Leinster 39-10 Edinburgh, RDS Arena

Barry Daly and Joey Carbery scored double tries as Leinster trounced Edinburgh by 39-10 in their Pro 12 encounter at RDS Arena on Friday.

Daly opened the account with a ninth minute try for Leinster following which fly-half Carbery and his counterpart Duncan Weir exchanged penalties as the home side ended the first half at 8-3 lead.

Carbery injected momentum into the game when he crossed over twice in a span of five minutes while replacement Ross Byrne added a conversion.

The scoring spree continued from Leinster as Daly (55'), replacement Dan Leavy (66') and Bryan Byrne (70') rumbled past the post with Ross contributing with two more conversions to take the total to 39 points.

In response Weir's converted try were the only points for Duncan Hodge's side as they succumbed to a 29-point defeat.

Leinster now have 56 points from 15 matches but are closely followed by Munster, who have 55 points with one match less while Edinburgh are at the ninth place in the table.
