Leinster 31 - 19 Ospreys, Dublin

Steve Tandy's Ospreys turned up too late to the party as Leinster successfully managed to weather the late surge and complete a commanding 31-19 win at the RDS Arena during the 2016-17 Pro12 clash on Friday.

The fate of the game was all but sealed at the end of the 46th minute when the scoreline read 31-0 in favor of the hosts.

Wing Ben John (52) finally managed to put the visitors on the scoreboard with a try, while replacement Dafydd Howells (71) and flanker James King (73) eased up their misery further but not enough to avoid the certain defeat.

Fly-half Dan Biggar failed to convert John's try, however managed to add the extras on the remaining two occasions.

Flanker Josh van der Flier (18, 45) scored a double for the hosts, while fly-half Johnny Sexton (39) also crossed over for a try in addition to a Penalty try awarded to Leinster on 32nd minute.

Sexton successfully converted all four tries apart from scoring a penalty on the fourth minute of the match.

The win has helped Leinster to temporarily climb up to the third position in the points table with Cardiff behind by just a point.

Despite the loss, Ospreys have managed to hold onto their second spot after facing their first loss of the season from four matches.
