Worcester Warriors have confirmed that hooker Kurt Haupt has extended his stay with the Aviva Premiership club until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old joined the Sixways outfit on a short-term deal from Super Rugby side Kings but following former Ireland scrum-half Peter Stringer's departure, Worcester Warriors have decided to retain Haupt's services for the remainder of the season.

"We would like to thank 'Strings' for his efforts over the past few months," Worcester rugby director Alan Solomons said.

"He has been great around the squad and has played a key role in helping develop some of our younger players during the past few months. We wish him all the best in the future."
