Scotland centre Huw Jones will miss the remainder of the Six Nations tournament after suffering a knee ligament damage during the second round clash against Ireland at BT Murrayfield Stadium.

The 25-year-old underwent a scan that revealed that his recovery period will be beyond the conclusion of the tournament adding to the causality list of the Dark Blues.

The Glasgow Warriors centre has now returned back to his club for further rehabilitation as he will be hoping to be fit in time for the Champions Cup quarter-final on the final week of March.

Scotland have already the lost the services of full-back Stuart Hogg and flanker Ryan Wilson after they suffered shoulder and knee injuries respectively during the game against Ireland.

Gregor Townsend's men are currently positioned third in the Six Nations table with a win and a defeat apiece in the two games and will face France in Round 3 in Paris on 23rd February.
