Scorecard

A clinical performance from Kings saw them beat Kings by 23-37 and secure a bonus point win in their Super Rugby encounter at Singapore National Stadium on Saturday.

Fly-half Lionel Cronje capitalised on early error from Sunwolves with a penalty in the first minute. An early injury to Louis Schreuder saw Rudi van Rooyen take the field and he immediately created an impact with a touchdown in the 14th minute while Cronje added the conversion.

Timothy Lafaele led Sunwolves' reply with crossover in the 21st minute while Hayden Cripps added the extras to bring down the trail to three points.

Replacement Chris Cloete danced past the post when he went past the line in the 31st minute as the visitors had a lead of 10 points at half time.

After both the fly-halves exchanged two penalties each, tries from Ruan Lerm and Malcolm Jaer took the visitors total to 37 points. Keisuke Uchida and wing Takaaki Nakazuru led late resurgence from Sunwolves by scoring a try each in the final five minutes, they succumbed to a 14-point defeat.

Despite the result both Kings and Sunwolves are positioned last in Africa 2 and Africa 1 groups respectively.
