Scorecard

Japan came up with a dominating performance at Toyota Stadium on Saturday as they blanked out Georgia 28-0 in their final game of June internationals.

This was the second win for Japan this season after they managed to beat Italy 34-17 in the opening game in Oita.

Japan fly-half Yu Tamura kicked a third minute penalty goal and 14 minutes later Georgia were reduced to 14-men temporarily when Vito Kolelishvili was sin-binned.

Even though Japan couldn't make use of the numerical advantage, Tamura kicked two more penalty goals in the 32nd and 40th minutes to take the hosts to a 9-0 lead before the break.

Things turned better for Japan in the second half with Wimpie van der Walt and Lomano Lemeki crossing over in the 49th and 52nd minute followed by a double conversion from Tamura to stretch their lead to 23-0.

With Georgia failing to show any resilience, Kazuki Himeno capped off a fantastic game for Japan when he dived past the line for a 67th minute try to complete a 28-0 victory.
