The response from Stormers came in the 25th minute when number eight Sikhumbuzo Notshe showed pace that breached the defence of Jaguares to dive over the line and a conversion from Jean-Luc du Plessis saw them reduce the arrears to 15-7 before half time.

Jaguares were quick to get off the block in the second half when Matias Orlando strolled past the post and a conversion from Sanchez made it 22-7.

Fullback Dillyn Leyds provide Stormers a glimmer of hope when he went past a couple of defenders to score their second try and a conversion from du Plessis made it 22-14 but Jaguares held their lead and instead Sanchez kicked his second penalty goal to help the Argentina side complete a 25-14 victory.
