Three’s #AllitTakes documentary highlights Sexton’s commitment and dedication, and features Ronan O’Gara
Ireland rugby out-half and Six Nations champion, Johnny Sexton, is the star of ‘#AllitTakes’, a short film by Three – proud sponsor of the Irish rugby team.
The mini-documentary celebrates ‘All it Takes is Everything,’ the insight on which Three’s powerful campaign is built. This three-minute film documents Sexton’s rise through the schools’ rugby system with St. Mary’s College to the international star he is today, demonstrating the commitment, dedication and ambition required to reach the top. It features former Ireland out-half Ronan O’Gara, Sexton’s school’s coach Richie Hughes, and godfather Billy Keane (son of Irish playwright John B. Keane).
O’Gara, who was capped 128 times by Ireland during an unforgettable career, said: "Johnny is an exceptional out half. He prepares really well, he doesnt leave anything to chance on a Saturday. I also think there’s more in the tank, I think we'll see him in the next two to three years hit a new level."
Sexton, who became a household name following his 2009 Ireland debut, is now regarded as one of the leading out-halves in the world. The 29-year-old is set to play a crucial role in this weekend’s game against England.
Ireland captain Paul O'Connell revealed: "Johnny is the most ridiculous competitor you have ever seen, with an unbelievable work ethic. I know my job pretty well on the field, but Johnny knows where the other 14 players on the pitch should be at any one time. He's the standard bearer in everything for us at the moment.”
An official Ambassador for Three, Sexton said of the short film; “I have barely had a second to look back and reflect on my career to date, but the #AllitTakes mini-documentary was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Some of the most important people in my life, and on this journey, appear in the film and it’s nice for them to also be recognised for their contribution.”
#AllitTakes, starring Johnny Sexton will be released Tuesday, 24th February, and is part of Three’s Irish international rugby team sponsorship activity.
