Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has named three uncapped players in the squad for the upcoming autumn internationals.

Former England U20 international Will Addison made a switch from Sale Sharks to Ulster before the 2018/19 season and qualifies to play for Ireland through his mother, who is from Fermanagh along with Munster centre Arnold and Leinster fly-half Byrne are the three new faces in the 42-man squad.

Meanwhile, Munster scrum-half Conor Murray has not been considered for selection as Schmidt has decided against risking him following the neck injury that he sustained during the June series against Australia.

"As always there have been a number of close calls in selection, meaning that some very good players have missed out in this particular window," Schmidt said.

"The upcoming Guinness Series offers an exciting opportunity for the squad but will also be very challenging.

"We are certainly looking forward to getting back to a packed Aviva Stadium with the fantastic support that we get there."
