Hurricanes have confirmed that winger Ben Lam and hooker Ricky Riccitelli have penned new deals with the Super Rugby club.

Lam, who scored four tries for Hurricanes during the clash against Rebels last month joined the club in 2017 from Blues and was also part of New Zealand U20 and All Black Sevens sides in the past.

"I've really been impressed with everything about the club since I moved from Auckland and that has convinced me I want to be part of it for even longer," said Lam, who has signed a two-year contract extension.

"There are things we are all trying to achieve and I believe I can play a big part of that. I'm also really enjoying myself here so the decision was an easy one, really."

Meanwhile, Riccitelli, joined Hurricanes in 2015 and was part of Mitre 10 Cup squad and his Super Rugby debut came a year later. He has penned a new contract with the club that will keep him with Hurricanes until 2021.

"The motivation for me was pretty simple," he said. "I want the Hurricanes to get to and stay at the top and I want to be part of it for the next three years. The club has played a big part in my development as a player and I want that to continue."

Hurricanes are second in New Zealand Conference with five wins from six games in the ongoing season of Super Rugby.
