Scorecard

Worcester Warriors kick-started their European Challenge Cup campaign with an impressive 27-38 win over Stade Francais at Stade Jean Bouin on Saturday.

The win has taken Worcester to the second place in Pool 2 that is being topped by Ospreys with Stade Francais occupying the third place.

The Warriors entered the game after making a total of 15 changes from the side that defeated Bristol and they looked dominating from the outset with Matt Cox (9'), Tom Howe (26' and 40') scoring first half tries while Jono Lance slotted all three conversions and also kicked a penalty to take their tally to 24 points before the break.

Fullback Kylan Hamdaoui was the lone try scorer for the home side in the first half Jules Plisson, who added the extras also kicked two three-pointers on either side but still they had a tough task of being 13-24 down.

Ted Hill (52') and Jamie Shillock (71') added further tries for the visitors in the second half and despite late efforts from the French side with Laurent Panis and Piet van Zyl dotting down, Worcester went on to register a 27-38 victory.
