Head coach Heyneke Meyer pens new two-year deal with Stade Francais

Stade Francais have confirmed that head coach Heyneke Meyer has penned a new two year deal with the French club.

Meyer, who was previously in charge of South Africa between 2012 and 2015 joined Stade Francais ahead of the 2018/19 season and now has been offered additional two years contract.

Club owner Dr. Hans-Peter Wild was delighted in announcing the news on Meyer's contract extension and believes the club can reach greater heights under the 51-year-old.

“We have decided to extend Heyneke Meyer’s contract because he is the man for the situation to achieve our goals: to win the most prestigious trophies," he said.

“He had a two-year contract and we decided to extend it so that he would always have those two years ahead of him to strive for excellence.

"I am very happy with his work. The club need to become more professional and need serenity to carry out our project.”

Stade Francais are positioned eighth in the Top 14 table and will face Montpellier and Section Paloise in the final two rounds of the season.
