Gloucester Rugby flanker Lewis Ludlow will be out of action for another two months following a fractured wrist.

Ludlow was recently handed a four-week ban last month after he was proved guilty for stamping on Wasps centre Elliot Daly during the Gallagher Premiership encounter between the two teams.

The 24-year-old was due to return to action this weekend after serving the ban but head coach Johan Ackermann confirmed that scans on Ludlow revealed a fracture on his wrist.

"He picked up a wrist injury in the Wasps game but never really took note of it," Ackermann said.

"It kept aching and when we trained last week he got a bang on it and it got worse. We scanned it and there was a fracture."

Meanwhile, Ben Morgan will continue his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury that he picked while on England duty.

Gloucester are set to face Northampton Saints in the Premiership Rugby Cup encounter on Friday before they host Leicester Tigers in the Gallagher Premiership round seven clash at Kingsholm on 17th November.
