Gloucester Rugby 43 - 20 Ospreys, Kingsholm

Gloucester Rugby ran a seven-try riot as they went on to beat Ospreys 43-20 in the Anglo-Welsh Cup encounter at Kingsholm on Friday.

Both the teams failed to score a point in the first 17 minutes following which Richard Hibbard went past the line to get Gloucester off the mark and a conversion from Billy Burns made it 7-0.

Two minutes later, Burns found Callum Braley, who breached Ospreys defence and offloaded to Mark Atkinson as Gloucester increased the lead to 12-0.

The response from Ospreys finally came at the stroke of half-time when Alex Jeffries on his first start scored a try while a conversion from Luke Price reduced their trail to five points leading into the second half.

Even though, Ospreys claimed the lead for the first time in the game with a touchdown from Reuben Morgan-Williams after the restart and a penalty goal from Price in the 49th minute.

Nevertheless, the Cherry and Whites completely dominate the final 30 minutes in the game with Braley (50'), Ollie Thorley (55')
Henry Trinder (67'), Ben Morgan (72') and Matt Scott (80') scoring tries while Burns kicked three conversions as Gloucester completed a 23 point victory that has taken them to the top of Pool 1.
