Scotland international Adam Ashe is excited by the prospect of Glasgow Warriors under their new head coach Dave Rennie.

The former Chief's boss took in charge of the Scotstoun outfit ahead of the ongoing season from Gregor Townsend, who now heads the coaching panel of Scotland and the results are evident as they have got off to a three-match winning streak that saw them positioned second in Conference A behind Munster.

Ashe, who has been with the Scottish regional side since 2011 believes the team is yet to play to their full potential and with Rennie and his support staff leading them, he expressed confidence that they are heading in the right direction.

"I don't think we have clicked yet, but you can certainly see that we're fit," he said.

"There's still quite a few mistakes in our game, which is part of the transitional period, but I do think that when things do click we will be scoring some fantastic tries and playing some end-to-end rugby.

"It's a great sign that we're still managing to win games and we're finding a way to win even if we're not playing that well on the day.

"I think it's promising of what's to come in the future.

"We're playing a slightly different game plan, have new players and new coaches coming in so naturally that will take a little bit of time to click but when it does, it will be exciting."

Glasgow's next outing is a home game against Munster at Scotstoun Stadium with both the teams yet to lose a game this season and Ashe is wary of the challenge.

"It's going to be a big one, but a good one to have at home near the start of the season," the back-row said.

"Munster are a stuffy team, physical; we know what they're going to bring and at the same time we know it will take a massive effort from one to 23 to turn them over at the weekend.

"We're looking forward to it."
