Georgia captain Mamuka Gorgodze retires from international rugby

Georgian Rugby Union has confirmed that captain Mamuka Gorgodze will retire from international rugby with immediate effect.

The 32-year-old made his debut for Georgia in 2003 and since then has played 71 Tests scoring 26 tries in it. He was also part of the 2007, 2011 and 2015 World Cup squads.

"We have the best fans in the world and I want to thank them for the love and support which they gave me during my career," Gorgodze said on Twitter.

Gorgodze, who has represented Montpellier in the past has been a part of Toulon since 2014.
