Leicester Tigers 16-15 Wasps, Welford Road
Scorecard

England international George Ford kicked two penalties in the last 10 minutes as Leicester Tigers sealed a 16-15 victory over Wasps in their Aviva Premiership face-off at Welford Road on Sunday.

Sione Kalamafoni gave a head start to Leicester Tigers with a 2nd minute touchdown that was improved by Ford but they lost England internationals Manu Tuilagi and wing Jonny May to injuries shortly after that.

Elliot Daly led Wasps' response with a 14th minute try but the hosts suffered a major setback when Nick Malouf was sin-binned in the 20th minute for a high tackle. Wasps capitalised on the numerical advantage as Jimmy Gopperth kicked a penalty in the 21st minute and two minutes later Daly scored his second try that was improved by Danny Cipriani.

Wasps ended the first half with a 7-15 lead.

Ford narrowed down the gap to five points with an early penalty in the second half but once again their momentum was dented with Telusa Veainu sin-binned this time for a deliberate knock-on.

As Wasps struggled to find a breakthrough despite having an extra man temporarily, Ford kicked two more penalties in the 70th and 76th minutes to help Leicester Tigers complete a 16-15 victory.
