Sam Simmonds scored a double while Gareth Steenson contributed with 16 points as defending champions Exeter Chiefs completed a 10-41 bonus point win in their Aviva Premiership clash on Friday.

Steenson opened the account for Exeter Chiefs with a second minute penalty and eight minutes later Worcester Warriors fly-half Tom Heathcote left the field with an injury.

Replacement Sam Olver kicked Worcester's first points in the 17th minute to level the scores following which Simmonds (24'), Jack Nowell (34') and Jonny Hill (39') all scored tries while Steenson kicked all the three extras to take Exeter Chiefs to 3-24 lead at half time.

Worcester Warriors made a brief comeback with a touchdown from Biyi Alo at the start of the second half but it was Exeter, who had the momentum on their side with Olly Woodburn and Simmons going past the line in the final quarter to complete a comfortable 31 point victory.

Exeter Chiefs top the table with 11 points while Worcester Warriors are languishing at the bottom after losing all their three games in this season.
