South Africa A 26-29 England Saxons in Bloemfontein

England Saxons led by a double try from Tommy Taylor came back from behind and defeated South Africa A by 26-29 in the second game in Bloemfontein to complete a 2-0 series victory.

After winning the first game by 32-24, Saxons looked in deep trouble as South Africa A coasted to a 26-8 lead by the 45th minute with a double try from Sergeal Petersen (40’and 43’) and Jean-Luc du Preez (9’).

However, the England Saxons made a swift turnaround with Taylor (36', 48’) and flanker Matt Kvesic (56’) scoring a try each in a span of nine minutes in the second half and fly-half Danny Cipriani added the extras on both the occasions to bring the score to 26-22 in favour of the home side.

With both teams striving hard for a breakthrough, there was no point scored for the next 18 minutes and in the end it was Christian Wade's (75') decisive try in the closing stage helped the Saxons overcome a stiff challenge from South Africa A and completed a 2-0 series victory..

England Saxons fly-half Cipriani contributed with nine points which included three conversions and a penalty goal.
