England have received the much-needed boost ahead of their autumn international clash against Argentina with Wasps wing Elliot Daly joining the squad.

The 25-year-old's participation in the November Tests was clouded when he was left out of the training camp in Portugal after he sustained a knee injury during Wasps' Aviva Premiership encounter against Northampton Saints at Franklin's Gardens.

However, England boss Eddie Jones has recalled Daly for the 33-man squad for the opening game of the series against Argentina to be played at Twickenham on Saturday.

Talented Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith will continue his rehabilitation from an ankle injury that he sustained during the Portugal training camp.

A group of England forwards will train against Wales in Bristol on Monday morning before travelling back to their Pennyhill Park base.

Bath's Tom Dunn and Zach Mercer, Saracens lock Nick Isiekwe and Exeter's Sam Simmonds will not be part of the schedule, and will instead take part in a separate training schedule.

Following the game against Argentina, England will also face Australia and Samoa on 18th and 25th November respectively at Twickenham Stadium.
