Northampton Saints have confirmed that England international Kieran Brookes will exit the Aviva Premiership club at the end of the ongoing season.

Brookes made his professional rugby debut in 2009 with Newcastle Falcons and switched to Leicester Tigers in 2011 before returning for a second stint with the Kingston Park outfit in 2013.

His association with Northampton Saints started in 2015 and has made 66 appearances for the club spread across three seasons.

The 27-year-old made his England debut in 2014 and has gone to play 16 Tests with his last appearance for the red rose team coming in March 2016.

"This is a decision I have not taken lightly and I've thoroughly enjoyed my three years here at Saints," Brookes told the club website.

"Of course I will be giving the team absolutely everything I can on the pitch for the rest of the season to help Northampton move up the Premiership table."

Northampton Saints are currently at the 10th position in the Aviva Premiership with just five wins from 14 games.
