The round 14 of the Pro14 fixture between Edinburgh and Benetton Treviso has been postponed due to Covid-19.

The game was scheduled to be played at Murrayfield Stadium on Sunday but now has been called-off after one player was tested positive in the Benetton squad.

A statement released by Pro14 revealed that the positively tested player along with the close contacts have been placed under isolation.

"The game was due to take place on Sunday, March 7 in Edinburgh, however, one person within the Benetton camp has returned a positive test for Covid-19," read the statement.

"Due to a concern around close contacts and having considered all of the available evidence, the PRO14 Rugby Medical Advisory Group has deemed that this fixture cannot go ahead as scheduled.

"PRO14 Rugby will look at available dates from April 2021 onwards to reschedule the game."

Edinburgh are positioned fifth in the Conference B table with four victories from 12 matches while Benetton are languishing at the bottom after losing all their 12 matches.
