Scorecard

Edinburgh staged an incredible second-half comeback to recover 17 points first-half deficit despite getting reduced down to 14-men to upset Stade Francais 28-23 at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday.

The French club looked pretty much in control of proceedings at the half-time after tries from outside-centre Waisea Nayacalevu Vuidravuwalu (3) and blindside-flanker Sekou Macalou (22). Fly-half Morne Steyn comfortably made the two conversions in addition to slotting two penalties and a drop goal.

In response, Edinburgh fly-half Duncan Weir's 33rd minute penalty was the only scoring opportunity for the hosts in the first-half.

However, Duncan Hodge's men rallied strong to cross over for three tries in addition to scoring a couple of penalties to register a 5-point win.

Right-wing Damien Hoyland (46), lock Ben Toolis (52) and scrum-half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne (61) scored tries for Edinburgh. Weir managed to convert two of those along with a couple of penalties.

In reply, Stade could only manage to add three more points to their tally after Steyn's penalty.

What's more impressive is that the Scottish side managed to achieve this feat despite losing inside-centre Phil Burleigh to a red card offence on 55th minute.

The two sides will come face-to-face once again on coming Thursday in the reverse Pool 5 fixture.
