England coach Eddie Jones has played down fitness concerns related to James Haskell and Jack Nowell ahead of the third Test in Sydney and has expressed confidence that the two remain in contention for the final chapter of England's conquest for the historic series whitewash against the Wallabies.

The duo picked up injuries in Melbourne during England's 7-23 triumph to seal the first-ever series win on Australian soil.

Haskell sustained a foot injury whereas Nowell suffered a mild concussion. However, Jones has revealed Nowell's has been cleared to play and Haskell, who missed training over the past couple of days as a precautionary measure, should be available for selection by recovering within sufficient time.

"It is more of a precaution with Haskell at the moment. He hasn't trained much over the last couple of weeks, but he has an amazing capacity to absorb pain so he's still in contention for the weekend," he told reporters.

"Jack has cleared all his protocols so far, so there is no reason why he shouldn't be fine. We had a good recovery session on Monday morning. The boys enjoyed the warm Pacific Ocean and a bit of volleyball on the beach."

Jones has expressed his desire to field the fittest 23 at Allianz Stadium in the climax to the series.

"It is the third Test of the series so we are going to need energetic, physically aggressive players. The 23 who show they want to play like that are the 23 who are going to play. All the players are keen to play. If they weren't keen to play, they wouldn't be here. We just have to keep assessing them. We'll look at their energy levels over the next day or two in training."

England who have maintained a 100% record since Jones took over from Stuart Lancaster, will be eager to keep the achievement intact on Saturday as they search for historic series clean sweep.
