England skipper Dylan Hartley has recovered from a calf injury to return in time for the final round of the Six Nations Championship clash against Ireland to be played at Twickenham on Saturday.

Elliot Daly has also overcome a foot injury to make it to the XV while Anthony Watson is retained at fullback with Mike Brown continuing his presence among the replacements. Dan Cole drops to the bench along with scrum-half Danny Care and lock Joe Launchbury with Kyle Sinckler handed his first start in the tournament.

Fly-half George Ford has been dropped to the bench with Owen Farrell moving to the number 10 as Jonathan Joseph reclaims his place at outside centre with Ben Te'o at inside centre.

Richard Wigglesworth and George Kruis also return to the England line-up as Eddie Jones' men look to bounce back from back to back defeats against Scotland and France.

“We can’t wait to get back to Twickenham and play there," said Jones.

"We have had a couple of tough games on the road and to get back and play in front of our 24th man will be exciting for the players and they will be looking forward to putting in a good performance.

“Ireland is a very good team. We have seen in every game the physical contest has been quite enormous so we have to meet that physical challenge and then play smart tactically.”

England team to face Ireland: Watson; May, Joseph, Te'o, Daly; Farrell, Wigglesworth; M Vunipola, Hartley, Sinckler, Itoje, Kruis, Robshaw, Haskell, Simmonds.

Replacements: George, Marler, Cole, Launchbury, Armand, Care, Ford, Brown
