Scarlets have confirmed that fly-half Dan Jones has signed a long-term deal with the Welsh regional side.

Jones joined Scarlets in 2014 and has scored over 100 points already and in the final two games alone for the Pro 12 side, he has amassed 28 points.

The 21-year-old had also represented the Wales Under-20 team 11 times in which he scored 97 points.

Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac credited Jones for the progress he made in the last two years and is confident he has a bright future.

"Dan has been patient over the last couple of seasons, taking his opportunities when they become available.

"He has developed as a player both on and off the field and has gained experience, while also holding his own against some of the most experienced fly-halves in world rugby."
