Christmas 7s from Tarleton Rugby

We strolled over to Tarleton Rugby Club in Lancashire to watch some sevens rugby over the festive season.

An icy start to the the day but with a lads and dads game to start the day, the ground soon lost its crispness. The sun came out and temperatures reached 4 degrees centigrade. Music streamed over the ground and there was the aroma of the summer BBQ.

A perfect setting for a Social 7s.

New players and former players teaming up with current senior colts and senior squad members. A club celebrating rugby and Christmas.

On the field there were six teams playing a round robin, including the eventual winners, Kelly's Heroes.

As the sun went down, the temperature hit freezing but the players continued telling their stories. Well done to the organisers and here at TalkingRugbyUnion we wish the club a great second half to the season.
