Chinnor moved to the top of National Two South as they made it six wins in as many matches thanks to a one-sided victory over Exmouth.

Matt Williams’ side ran in 13 tries on their way to victory against the divisions’ bottom club and did go to the summit of the table because of this triumph and the result at Hyde Park.

Taunton Titans’ 100 per cent start to the season came to end erupt end on Saturday as they were beaten by the Old Elthamians at home. The OE’s capitalised on an early red card shown to the Titans to secure their sixth win in a row.

Elsewhere, Bishops Stortford looked back to their best as they eased to victory over Clifton while Redruth’s good form continued as they edged out Barnes.

Chinnor 83-17 Exmouth

Chinnor went to the top of National Two South and did so in style as they ran in 13 tries on their way to victory against Exmouth.

The Black and Whites were almost out of sight at half-time thanks to Luke Hibberd, Greg Goodfellow, Henry Lamont and Bevon Armitage all scoring a try apiece.

A try by Charlie Gibbings had given Exmouth something to cheer about in the first period, but the floodgates were burst wide open in the second half.

Hibberd crossed on three more occasions, Lamont completed his hat-trick and CJ Oszuwa, Danny Barnes, Bertie Hopkin and Tom Burns also crossed to give Matt Williams’ side six wins from six this season.

Taunton Titans 14-44 Old Elthamians

Ratu Vakalutuakli was sent-off inside the first minute as Taunton Titans’ 100 per cent to the season was ended as they were beaten at Hyde Park by the Old Elthamians.

Both sides headed into this eagerly anticipated contest with five wins from five under their belts, but the red-card to Taunton’s flanker after just 17 seconds for a dangerous tackle made it a tough afternoon for Andy Yapp’s side.

Two Dominic Lespierre tries and the accurate boot of Tom White gave the OE’s a 17-7 half time lead and the away side ran riot after the break.

White added another penalty before Sam Waltier, Max Wilkins, Renford Bennett and Harry Ledger all scored as they took advantage of their extra man.

Taunton added to Dan Frost’s first-half score when Aaron Gibbs crashed over from close range late on, but the match was over as a contest as the OE’s moved up to second in the table thanks to this win.

Redruth 26-20 Barnes

Redruth secured their fifth win of the season as they battled hard to earn victory over Barnes at The Recreation Ground.

Alex Ducker’s jinking run from inside his own half saw the winger dive over for the decisive try in this encounter.

Redruth led midway through the second-half thanks to a dominant first 40 which saw Ducker claim his first try of the afternoon and Barrie John-Chapman cross while Lewis Vinncombe extended the Reds’ lead after the break.

But Barnes fly-half Tom O’Toole added to his first half try with another score as well as a penalty before James Hersey went over to give the visitors a shock 20-19 lead midway through the second period.

However, it didn’t last too long as Ducker weaved his way to the line to clinch the win for Redruth.

Bishops Stortford 55-0 Clifton

Bishops Stortford ran in nine tries as they returned to winning ways thanks to this comprehensive victory over Clifton.

The hosts made sure of a bonus point in the first-half as Declan Caulfield, Steve Ball, Matt Tomlinson and Will Simmonds all crossed.

Jimmy Rea and Nick Hankin (2) also went over for Stortford after the break, with Ryan Hutler and Sam Winter adding converted tries to round-off an utterly dominant display from Andy Long’s men.

Worthing Raiders 30-12 Canterbury

Worthing Raiders reacted to their defeat against the Old Elthamians  in Round Five with a deserved home victory against Canterbury.

The Raiders were 16-12 ahead at the break thanks to nine points from the boot of Matthew McLean and an Alex Wilcockson try. Canterbury had twice had the lead in the first period with tries coming from Aiden Moss and Samuel Kenny.

But after a keenly contested first half, the hosts showed their dominance from the restart and ran in two more tries.

Finlay Coxon-Smith and Wilcockson again both crossed, while Canterbury failed to register a single point.

Henley Hawks 41-36 Bury St Edmunds

Henley Hawks came from behind against Bury St Edmunds to secure their second straight win at Dry Leas.

Bury were 24-15 ahead at half-time in this contest thanks to tries from Sean Stapleton, Scott Lyle and Sam Sterling while Tom Parton and Bradley Cook crossed for the hosts.

Henley were right back in this match after the break as they were awarded a Penalty Try, but Bury took control once again as Chris Lord secured a bonus-point for the visitors as he went over.

However, Bury’s Nick Bingham was sin-binned and Henley’s positivity to capitalise on the extra man paid off. Tom Emery, Liam O’Neill and Parton all went over, with George Jackson converting twice to make it 41-29.

Cai Griffiths went over late on to earn Bury a second bonus-point.

London Irish Wild Geese 24-35 Cinderford

Cinderford ended a run of three straight defeats with a bonus point victory over London Irish Wild Geese in the first ever meeting between these two sides.

Cinderford scored tries through Eamonn Rees, Will Keenan, Elliot Creed and Harrison Yorke with James Moffat converting three and kicking three penalties.

Wild Geese were very much in this contest throughout with scores coming from Peter Hodgkinson, Seb Rodwell and two via replacement Matt Killeen, but they just couldn’t edge themselves to victory.

Redingensians 31-20 Barnstaple

Jacob Atkins scored two tries as the Redingensians picked up their second victory of the season thanks to this bonus-point win over Barnstaple.

Jak Rossiter burst clear before Atkins and Steven Bryant followed suit to give the Redingensians a 19-3 lead.

Hooker Ben Henderson powered over after the break for the Rams before Barnstaple started to mount a comeback.

Firstly, Ryan Carter dotted down for the visitors before a period of pressure in the Redingensians 22 resulted in a yellow card and a Penalty Try for Barum. Fly-half Jordan Petherbridge converted to take his tally to 350 points for Barnstaple and give the visitors a lifeline in this contest.

The pressure continued from the away side and they were rewarded when Issac Hydleman kicked a scrum penalty to put Barnstaple to within a score of the Redingensians.

However, Atkins added a second late on to deny Barum a losing bonus-point as the Rams sealed the win.
