Stephen Donald scored a double while Damian McKenzie contributed with 16 points as Chiefs maintained their winning momentum with a 46-17 victory at Yarrow Stadium on Saturday.

With nine wins from 10 games, Chiefs occupy pole position in New Zealand Conference and are closely followed by Crusaders and Hurricanes while Queensland Reds are positioned third in Australian Conference.

Stephen Moore (10') and Eto Nabuli (18') were the try scorers for Reds in the first half but Chiefs managed to take an eight point lead with touchdowns from Kane Hames and Charlie Ngatai while fullback Damian McKenzie added two apiece of conversions and penalties.

Dominic Bird (41'), Stephen Donald (44' and 52') and James Lowe (71') scored further tries for Chiefs in the second half to take them to 46 points while centre Campbell Magnay's try were the only points in the second half for Reds as they succumbed to a 29 point defeat.
