Carol Isherwood to lead England Legends against Ireland Legends
The game will take place in Belfast on 25th August

Carol Isherwood has been named the captain of England Legends team that will face Ireland Legends in an exhibition encounter that will be played ahead of the Women's Rugby World Cup final between England and New Zealand.
The two teams that contains elite list of players will meet each other in Belfast at Malone RFC at 7.30pm on Friday 25th August.
Isherwood captained both England and Great Britain in their first international game and is also a founding member of the Rugby Football Union for Women.
Former England hooker Sue Dorrington, who is also a part of the squad said she is excited to return to the field.
“When I first heard they were doing it I thought they were nuts, but then I thought about it and thought why not?” said Dorrington.
“I’m 60 so I’m going to be the oldest one on the pitch and I cannot wait, I’m so excited to play with those players again as there were some amazing women around.
“I’ve taken on a fitness coach and training a bit with Richmond Women to get myself ready. I retired in 2000 and the furthest thing from my mind was putting on an England shirt again, it’s such an honour and I can’t wait.
“It’s just reconnecting the dots from us. It’s from the very beginning to where women’s rugby is currently on this massive international stage.”
