Bulls confirm signing of Schalk Brits

Bulls have confirmed that South Africa hooker will join the Super Rugby club ahead of the 2019 season.

Brits came out of retirement earlier this year and featured for the Springboks during the June Test series against England which his side went on to win 2-1. He was also part of the Rugby Championship squad of Rassie Erasmus but did not get to play any game in the campaign.

The 37-year-old enjoyed a couple of stints with Western Province and had Super Rugby stint with Stormers before spending the majority of his career with Saracens between 2009 and 2018 and will now return back to the South African province.

Meanwhile, Bulls have also announced Alfonso Carl Meyer as the new chief executive officer of the club in effective from 1st January replacing Barend van Graan.
